We don't do this
often, but we'd like to send out a big "Thank You" to our good buddy Margaret
Menge, the editor of the town's other "write for food" publication.
With a single
column Margaret literally doubled the number of "hits" received weekly by The
Cornball-Local.Com and the Cornwall-Local.Com |
Margaret didn't quite quote us accurately in her remarks, but knowing
Margaret's reporting style, we're sure it was just an oversight and soon
corrected.
We would
like to remind Margaret. though, of why this absurd website exists. If you take
a look at our banner, on it is prominently displayed the Latin phrase "Ad
Absurdum."
Translated into English it simply means "To Absurdity."
Margaret, listen to
us, recent history around these parts has been truly absurd.
Margaret, spend a little less time
drying your hair and look around.
Take a look at the Town Board, the
Planning Board, the antics in the police department, the Board of Education,
and even some of your news columns.
Margaret, we're talking about some
really absurd stuff!
Heck, if we could only script the ridiculousness we'd have a hit
sitcom.

Margaret, in closing and in the spirit of the holiday season, we wish you a
